Good day my good friend.
As I mentioned on Friday, this newsletter will be short. But also, I’d like to let you know that I have joined another social media site – Bluesky. So get on there and follow me for some random wibblings on transport and nature. I’ve been on it since Friday and its so much better than the other place its unreal.
📕 I have co-authored a book on Mobility-as-a-Service, which is a comprehensive guide on this important new transport service. It is available from the Institution of Engineering and Technology and now Amazon.
💼 I am also available for freelance transport planning consultancy, through my own company Mobility Lab. You can check out what I do here.
🔎 Some interesting things for you to check out
If you want to know what quantum technologies are and how relate to transport, this latest report published by the Department for Transport should see you right. Turns out its really hard to determine what they actually are.
Living Streets has updated its excellent Pedestrian Pound report. Guess what? Pedestrians spend money in shops, and they spend more than people who get there by other modes do.
Transport for All, meanwhile, have published a report stating that PTAL (Public Transport Accessibility Levels) is not good at measuring accessibility. Turns out there are numerous elements to accessibility – who knew (clue: anyone who has paid attention).
