Good day my good friend.

This week has been a good week. While I have been playing whack-a-mole with all of the little jobs that have come up, I often feel my best when I am in this zone and things are getting done. Now, just a few more consultation responses to write.

Mobility Camp is back, and the number one transport unconference is heading to York on Friday 20th September. Book your tickets now! 🎫

I have co-authored a book on Mobility-as-a-Service, which is a comprehensive guide on this important new transport service. It is available from the Institution of Engineering and Technology and now Amazon. 📕

😃 Good things going on

Swindon has completed somewhat of a turnaround. After the Great Western Railway works closed, that area of the town really declined. But now, the Heritage Action Zone has turned it all around. The scale of the works is amazing.

Belfast has spent £340m on its Grand Central Station. While the trains are not running there yet, the buses are. And it looks spectacular.

Newbury, a name associated with road building and bypasses, is about to have its town centre pedestrianised. Its well overdue.

By the way, Ipswich is looking to do something similar to Lloyd’s Avenue.

Meanwhile, stateside, a known gap in the Portland cycling network is going to be filled. All while in New York, Bedford Avenue is going to get a cycle track. All while someone went rogue in the city of Saskatoon.

A bus operator in Bristol is offering free travel on selected routes until the end of this week. Better take advantage while you can!
