Good day my good friend.

As you know, occasionally I get people to write some guest posts, and this is one of them. Anything that can be done to support young professionals in finding their way in the transport sector is A-ok with me, and now that good friend Anna Filby is taking the Young Mobility Network global, it is time that you knew about it. I will leave you in the capable hands of Anna FilbyOlivia Morgan and Alfie Blanchard.

Mobility Camp is back, and the number one transport unconference is heading to York on Friday 20th September. Book your tickets now! 🎫

I have co-authored a book on Mobility-as-a-Service, which is a comprehensive guide on this important new transport service. It is available from the Institution of Engineering and Technology and now Amazon. 📕

Support The UK Pre-Launch Event!

The event is proudly supported by ITS UK, Steer, and Women in Transport. However, we still have a few costs to cover for drinks and snacks on the day. If you or your company can contribute with a small donation, it would be greatly appreciated if you contact Anna Filby directly. As you know, getting started is never easy, and financial support is crucial for our growth. Your help can make a big difference as we work to build a vibrant community within the mobility industry.

What to Expect from YMN UK: A dynamic space for networking, knowledge sharing, and empowering individuals passionate about the mobility industry.

The Young Mobility Network, established in Germany in 2020, has been connecting young professionals across the industry. With over 400 members across six hubs in Germany, YMN is dedicated to fostering connections, facilitating knowledge exchange, and supporting personal growth. As we expand across Europe, the UK Hub marks an exciting new chapter.

Since Anna launched the network in 2020, it has been a journey full of rewarding experiences. From moderating early online sessions during COVID to now leading the team, she has seen the community’s value and support firsthand. A highlight for Anna is watching others expand their horizons in the mobility industry, whether through field trips like exploring Hamburg’s harbour or attending regional MeetUps – only last week YMN met in Frankfurt and Munich. Meeting Olivia and Alfie at MOVE in London made it clear that expanding YMN to the UK was a perfect match. Both have embraced this vibrant community, discovering rich opportunities for personal and professional growth. For instance, Olivia mentioned her desire for more public speaking opportunities—so why not create those opportunities ourselves?
