Good day my good friend.
May as well get straight to it, as the news is in the title.

I have co-authored a book on Mobility-as-a-Service, which is a comprehensive guide on this important new transport service. It is available from the Institution of Engineering and Technology and now Amazon. 📕
👐 The power of positive vibes
Its time we picked up some good vibes in the transport world. And at this years Mobility Camp, the very best transport event in the calendar if I don’t say so myself, we plan to do just that.
To get this out of the way, the practical stuff. Its being held this year in the city of York, on Friday 20th September, all day, and you can get your tickets here. But I wanted to spend some time on our chosen theme for this year: Positive Vibes.
In the 6 years of Mobility Camp, one thing that has struck me about the event is how overwhelmingly positive it is. The format of the unconference is such that there is loads of positive energy all day, with people having open conversations about matters they care about, while focussing on solutions and generating a can-do buzz around the whole day.
So, why not dedicate a whole day to said positive vibes? And for good reason.
We know what the problems are. We know we are running out of time to solve a great many of them. We know what works. We know what the barriers are to making them work. We also know that fighting against these barriers can be a long, lonely experience. We also know that fighting the good fight is very often the long, hard road.
So we need to feel good about what we are doing. In this newsletter I attempt to celebrate and showcase all of the good work going on to make the world a better place. But we need an event that showcases it in a way that isn’t trying to sell a product of service.
So at Mobility Camp this year, you will get the chance to learn how to do positive things, and our goal is that you come away from it thinking…
Hey, I work in the transport sector and we do stuff that can change people’s lives and the world. When we are good, we are awesome. And you know what? I am going to do it.
More details on this year’s Mobility Camp will come out in due course. Such as the venue (hint: its near the river) and any details that we can share on how the day will run. You can get your tickets here, and soon we will share details on how you can sponsor and get in on the action.
In the meantime, stay positive!
