Good day my good friend.
This week, I am having to deal with a couple of personal matters. So my newsletters are likely to be slightly more to the point than usual. But still, there is some time for some good stuff.
If you like this newsletter, please share it with someone else who you think will love it. The main way my audience grows is through your recommendations. I will love you forever if you do. 😃
I have co-authored a book on Mobility-as-a-Service, which is a comprehensive guide on this important new transport service. It is available from the Institution of Engineering and Technology and now Amazon. 📕
😃 Good stuff going on
Despite this article’s attempt to play the ‘poor old motorist’ card, its good news that a pedestrian crossing outside a hospital in Preston is being upgraded.
It also seems like Adelaide is getting in on the pedestrian crossing upgrades game as well. Which is nice.
Meanwhile, another city has created a diagonal pedestrian crossing. This time, its Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan.
One for the “this is probably good news” pile. In that Waverley Bridge in Edinburgh, which is currently pedestrianised, will be opened to buses again.
Good news dressed up as bad news, now. Apparently, just 11% of the UK bus fleet is zero emission. I find this to be quite good, actually, but we should be moving quicker according to Climate Emergency UK.
In other alternatively fuelled buses news, new buses in Caserta and Avellino in Southern Italy are being powered by cow farts.
Could a new rail tunnel link Europe and Africa? Well, the Moroccan Railways are giving it some serious thought.
👍 Your feedback is essential
