Good day my good friend.
My week this week has been very easy. Worryingly so. Not that an easy week is bad, it just makes me feel uneasy. Perhaps I am the kind of person who craves a problem to fix or a dilemma to solve, and I don’t even know it? Anyway, enough of that, onto the positive news!

I have co-authored a book on Mobility-as-a-Service, which is a comprehensive guide on this important new transport service. It is available from the Institution of Engineering and Technology. 📕
😃 Good things going on
You know how Hammersmith Bridge in London has been closed since almost forever? Well, the Government is now funding a £3 million cycle lane to go on the bridge.
Put this one under kind of good news. When low tide made a ferry inaccessible to a girl in a wheelchair, the staff stepped up to help.
Meanwhile in Newcastle, a cycle lane has changed to make it more accessible to disabled cyclists. Which is a good thing.
An estate in Bristol that has not been served by a bus service for 5 years has had said service reinstated.
A car sharing service in Oxfordshire is being extended by 6 months because it is so popular.
Electric cars may be having a wobble at the moment, but its worthwhile remembering that major manufacturers are all in on the electrification drive. Notably Toyota. And Volvo. And Kia.
Speaking of electric things, electric buses have taken to the road in Nottingham and Portsmouth.
Transport for Wales is seeking to reduce the gender gap by hiring more women train drivers.
Levels of deforestation have declined in the Amazon. Which is good news for the climate.
If you want to see what green living looks like, its best to go to Utrecht, which is going all in on the idea.
