Good day my good friend.
Apparently, some sort of “football” game took place in America over the weekend. Something about Superb Owls I think? As well some Chiefs and something about the number 49? I jest of course. My dad is into the Miami Dolphins after watching them on a business trip to Florida, and every year had me up until 3am watching the Superbowl on Sky in the 1990s. I have not taken on the same interest in American Football.
Naturally, we have to look at the transport impacts of this. Notably the 1000 private jets that flew to Las Vegas for the game, including two (allegedly) which were for the current woman of the hour. I dread to think what traffic was like in Vegas for the game.

🚉 The Return
I am hijacking the newsletter to spread some good news about a project close to my heart, as well as my home. The Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership has been fighting to reinstate train services on the line between Bedford and Bletchley, which has essentially been without a train service since 2020.
Now, after a partial victory in November with limited services, next week a full service will return on the line. Not only that, for 3 months the cost of a single journey between any of the stations on the line will be capped at £1 for adults, and 50p for children.
Well done to Stephen Sleight and everyone at the Partnership who made this so. Here’s to many more years of service.
