Someday, unexpected things may begin to not happen to me. In the time I planned to write the newsletter this morning, my wife was unwell. So, instead, here are some interesting graphics for you on a variety of transport matters.

Map 3 shows UK regions, quarterly growth in percentages for all devices. Map 4 shows UK regions, quarterly growth in percentages for rapid charging or above devices. Please refer to Annex B: Table 2 for further information.

Most of the UK is getting on with installing EV charging points. Apart from the North East, apparently. Come on, Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. What’s happening?

Thanks to Giulio Mattioli for sharing this. Even if the news isn’t good. I encourage you all to see his Twitter thread summarising the research on progress of transport to achieving net zero.

Jonn Elledge’s excellent Substack played with Tom Forth’s Population around a Point tool. Stick a point on a map, and measure the population around it. Its brilliantly simple fun.
